our story

A small workshop in Kathmandu.
Twenty-nine years of quiet work.

Masala Beads began in 1997 on a narrow lane in Thamel, with one table, two pairs of hands, and a bowl of glass beads catching the afternoon light. Today we design across five stores and ship worldwide but every piece still passes through those same careful hands.

Jewelry, yes. But also the bag you'll carry everywhere, the vase on your nightstand, the rose oil for your evening ritual, the journal you'll actually fill. Small, warm, made to last.
